Further investigation shows the previous image is the back end of this stunted, burned out Star Destroyer:

These things tend to evolve over time as people continue to hack away at them and light them on fire.  I know for a fact that the above no longer exists in that form and was not worth a photo the last time I walked by it.

Seems we're getting slammed by the remnants of some ocean storm today, massive gusts and lots of rain in a short period.

Recent Purchase

So, a while ago I had seen these photo negatives for sale on ebay and was outbid.  They came back around recently and I was able to snag them.  I took them to a local shop that still does prints (getting kind of rare, apparently) and they also gave me these nice scans:

I'm even more excited that they also offer a film to video transfer drop-off (the transfer happens elsewhere) that will allow me to finally see the 16mm film that I bought of Roger doing a quick interview and song from early in his career.  I've never seen the footage anywhere so I might have and exclusive in that.  Once I have it you can be sure I'll toss it on my Vimeo and post it here...Can't wait!

Seeing as how things have wrapped up over at Fatguy's Journal, I'm going to attempt to fire things up a little over here.

So what's to report?  Wups played an after-wedding party Saturday night full of fun and chaos.  It's been a while since I've been up until 4am...

I'm still jobless and still kinda OK with that, trying to figure out which way I'll jump.  Do I just get another job I can stand for the next chapter, where fulfillment of simple desires leads to simple contentment (wait, content and content....really?), or do I finally strike out into the world for one last run at whatever I can get?

Is it really the game of life to throw the scare of failure and worse at everyone so that they either simply accept their lot, no matter how relatively lousy, or roll those huge dice and either luck out beyond the odds or flame out in a fizzling squirt?

Oh well, there's always the Dark Side.
